Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Pre-Production Manager to oversee our production operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that the pre-production processes run reliably and efficiently. You must be a pre-production whiz dedicated to boosting productivity and managing critical path. Responsibilities Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations.Manage workflow of Pre-production team.Manage costing process.Be responsible for pre-production output, product quality, and on-time handover to our factory.Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets.Work with cross-functional departments related to production to ensure deadlines are met.Promote adherence to the product calendar by ensuring efficient collaboration and coordination between cross-functional partners, including Design, R&D, Merchandising, and Materials.Research new sources of manufacturing and industry best practices to ensure continual process improvement and long-term vision.Requirements Proven experience as a Pre-Production Manager in the manufacturing sector.Degree or Diploma in clothing management.In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and production processes, as well as pre-production processes.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills.Able to create accountability and lead by example.Strong team player with a proactive attitude and a focus on solutions.Excellent understanding of garment costing and construction.Effective project management, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.Extreme attention to detail.Must be sharp, deadline focused and motivated.Job Related Behavioural Competencies: Entrepreneurial mindset, results-driven.Self-starter - ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager.Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Proven prioritization, time management, and project management skills.Team player with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organisation.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work independently and use initiative.Resilient and tenacious in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.Ability to work in a pressurized and fast-paced environment.Deadline and outcomes focused.Methodical, detail-oriented, and accurate.Please note: The Cape Union Mart Group is committed to transformation.
