A vacancy exists for a Pre-admission Clerk based at Life Hilton Private Hospital, reporting to the Reception Supervisor. The incumbent will be responsible for the pre-admission of patients and ensure that patients have approved authorization.
Critical OutputsCarrying out Pre-admission duties.Confirm medical aid benefits and scheme rules.Confirm, capture and verify patient demographics and medical aid details.Mitigating the risk of potential bad debts.Active risk management by means of obtaining prosthetic limits, co-payments etc.Inform the patient of requirements for hospitalization.Positive identification of all patients.Scanning of all relevant information.Determination of waiting periods if any.Compile estimates for private patients.Improve patient satisfaction and patient centricity.Relieve in Admissions Department from time to time and work flexible work hours as required.Adhering to all admission and related protocols.Marketing of the Pre-admission clinic with doctors and patients.Be able to self-manage workload, but also work effectively in a team environment.Need to be able to perform under pressure.RequirementsMatric/Grade 12.Strong computer skills.Excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with customers.Knowledge of hospital procedures and medical aid rules.Working knowledge of Impilo will be an advantage.The position requires an enthusiastic, motivated and well-organized individual.CompetenciesProblem solving, analysis and judgement.Attention to detail.Resilience.Engaging diversity.Verbal & written communication and presentation.Influencing.Building relationships.Customer responsiveness.Organisational awareness.Excellence orientation.Action orientation.Ethical behaviour.Email: ******
