VACANCY NOTIFICATIONPosition: ETD Practitioner - PlantLocation: Tshipi é Ntle Manganese Mining, Kathu, Northern CapePUBLISHED DATE: 10 April 2024CLOSING DATE: 23 April 2024POSITION DESCRIPTION: ETD Practitioner - PlantPATTERSON GRADING: C UpperREPORTING TO: Training SuperintendentDIRECT REPORTS: N/APURPOSE OF THE JOB: Manages the relationship with the outsourced technical training service provider. Monitors the outsourced training content and manages the training schedule to ensure alignment with operational requirements. Manages and facilitates the on-boarding programme. To plan, develop and deliver training interventions on Engineering discipline.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:Financial Perspective:Demonstrates budget and cost awareness and proactively identifies and implements cost-saving initiatives within the Training function.Identifies and escalates potential risks that could result in increased costs.Adheres to required operating standards to ensure that no penalties or costs are incurred within the Training function.Internal Business Process Perspective:Manages the relationship with the outsourced technical training service provider.Monitors quality of the outsourced training content and technical training schedule to ensure alignment with operational requirements.Manages, plans and facilitates the on-boarding programme.Compiles and submits reports (including the Workforce Skills Plan).Manages and monitors training information and ensures that training information is updated and accessible.Sources and manages training providers and other suppliers as required to support training requirements.People Perspective:Manages own performance in terms of agreed KPIs.Identifies gaps in own development and works to master skills and competencies within own role to ensure personal development and performance.Contributes to the attainment of team and organisational goals by demonstrating team commitment and collaboration.Values and respects team members and others within the organisation.Demonstrates inclusivity and values diversity.Shares knowledge and best practice that will benefit the team.Customer Perspective:Manages customer expectations and requirements to deliver effective and efficient Training services to the business in line with company values and standards.Takes ownership of customer complaints and uses technical knowledge and insight to resolve issues and problems accurately and timeously.Drives customer satisfaction through the provision of Training services and advice.Builds and maintains key customer relationships including: Human Resources team, Mine Management, Employees and contractors.Drives customer centricity and service levels of the organisation through the delivery of Training service excellence.Stakeholder engagement and management:Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to promote the business and service objectives of the company.Ensures that the needs of organisational stakeholders are prioritised and managed including: Colleagues, contractors and employees, Suppliers, Outsourced training service provider.Works with management and employees to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Grade 12 or NQF level 4 equivalentOD ETDP Level 4Certificate in Mineral Processing (NQF 4)Assessor qualificationModerator qualificationComputer literatePREFERRED QUALIFICATION:OD ETDP Level 5 or National Diploma in HRM/HRDMINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:3 Years experience as a plant supervisor2 Years' relevant training experience within the mineral processing disciplineFacilitation skillsMentoring and coachingKnowledge of relevant legislationPlanning, organizing and coordination skills.Ability to work without SupervisionATTRIBUTES:People focused & embraces diversity, Assertive, Drive and enthusiasm, Resilient, Independent worker.COMPETENCIES:Advanced communication skills, both written and oralOperate multi-media equipment.Good presentation skillsStrong administrative skillsCoaching and mentoring skillsEnquiries: Applicants who meet the key requirements of the job must apply via the Tshipi website: www.tshipi.co.za, click on Opportunities, click on the relevant vacancy and apply, on or before 23 April 2024.
