Job Description:A renowned Animal Hospital in the Boland Area is seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 24-hour animal hospital.
The Practice Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the hospital, providing exceptional care for our patients and outstanding service to their owners.
This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep commitment to animal welfare.Key Responsibilities:Staff Management:Screen and train hospital staff, veterinary technicians, administrative staff, and support personnel.Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for a 24-hour operation.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.Address and resolve any staff conflicts or issues promptly and professionally.Operational Management:Oversee daily operations of the hospital, ensuring compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.Manage and implement rosters for hospital personnel ensuring the smooth running of the practiceImplement and maintain hospital policies and procedures to ensure a high standard of care and service.Coordinate and oversee maintenance and cleanliness of hospital facilities.Monitor billing processes.Client Relations:Ensure exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and courteouslyManage client feedback and implement improvements to enhance client satisfaction.Quality Control:Ensure the highest standards of veterinary care and patient safety are maintained at all times.Implement and monitor quality assurance programs and protocols.Stay current with industry developments and advancements in veterinary medicine and hospital management.Emergency and Crisis Management:Develop and implement emergency protocols for handling urgent and critical cases.Ensure staff is trained and prepared for emergency situations, maintaining a calm and efficient response.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Veterinary Technology, or a related field.
