Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established firm in Johannesburg.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee and manage the financial aspects of various construction projects, ensuring that all budgetary and cost-related objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for building projects.
Manage project budgets from inception through to completion, ensuring that all costs are controlled.
Conduct feasibility studies to ascertain potential project costs.
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
Assist in negotiation and awarding of contracts to subcontractors.
Monitor ongoing project costs and advise on changes and potential cost implications.
Provide regular reports to stakeholders on project financial status.
Identify risks and provide solutions to mitigate cost overruns.
Oversee the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of project procurement processes.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Professional registration with SACQSP.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JBCC, FIDIC, NEC, GCC).
Proficiency in WinQS and other relevant software.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple projects.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
