Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Develop, design, and implement mechanical systems and components in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including stress analysis, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials selection.
Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.
Perform site inspections, quality assurance, and compliance checks to ensure that projects meet regulatory and safety standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and engineering teams.
Participate in risk assessments, failure mode analysis, and the development of mitigation strategies.
Stay updated with the latest developments in mechanical engineering, including new technologies, tools, and industry trends.
Assist in the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies for potential projects.
Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering codes, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Professional registration as a Pr Eng (Professional Engineer) with the Engineering Council.
Minimum years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably.
Proficient in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS) and project management tools.
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and material science.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex engineering challenges.
Strong project management skills with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including ASME, ISO, and other relevant codes.
Ability to work independently and take initiative on complex tasks and projects.
