Education & Qualifications: Degree: Must possess a B.Sc. or B.Eng in Electrical Engineering (or a similar degree) that qualifies the individual to register as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng). Note: Candidates qualifying for Pr. Tech will not meet the client's requirements, as Pr. Eng sign-offs are essential. Experience: Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experiencein power systems engineering. Industry Experience: Prior experience in the mining industry or a closely related field is required. (Experience in the automotive industry or similar will not be considered). Design Experience: Hands-on design expertise in power systems, not just project management. Must be capable of performing complex engineering designs for power systems. Skills & Competencies: Power Systems Engineering Design: Strong ability to design, model, and analyze power systems in a mining or industrial context. Capable of handling the design process end-to-end, ensuring adherence to client and regulatory specifications. Software Competency: Proficiency in relevant design softwareincluding, but not limited to: Wonderware AutoCAD ETAP Demonstrated experience using these tools to develop, review, and optimize power system designs.
