This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our Power BI offerings and drive impactful solutions for our clients.Role Overview:The Power BI Practice Lead will be responsible for establishing and leading our new Power BI division. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong consulting background, proven experience in Power BI implementation, and the ability to lead and grow a team. The successful candidate will initially be hands-on with client projects, ensuring high-quality delivery, and will gradually build a team to scale our Power BI services.Key Responsibilities:Division Establishment & Leadership:Lead the creation of our Power BI practice, including defining service offerings, developing best practices, and setting strategic goals.Develop and execute a growth strategy for the Power BI division, identifying opportunities within our existing client base and in the wider market.Client Engagement & Delivery:Work closely with clients to understand their business needs, providing expert Power BI consulting and delivering tailored solutions.Oversee and participate in the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, and support of Power BI solutions.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.Technical Expertise & Implementation:Be hands-on in the design, development, and implementation of Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features, tools, and industry trends to provide innovative solutions.Team Building & Management:Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of Power BI consultants and developers as the division grows.Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensuring continuous professional development and knowledge sharing.Business Development:Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging relationships with existing Qlik clients and attracting new clients seeking Power BI services.Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to promote our Power BI offerings and contribute to proposal development and client presentations.Qualifications & Experience:Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.Experience:Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, with a strong focus on Power BI.Proven track record in a consulting environment, including significant experience managing client relationships and delivering high-impact projects.Demonstrated experience in the end-to-end implementation of Power BI solutions, including data modeling, report development, and dashboard design.Experience in building and leading teams, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.Skills:Deep technical expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and integration with various data sources (e.g., SQL, Azure, APIs).Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about business needs and technology solutions.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to shape and lead a new division within an established consultancy.A collaborative and supportive work environment with a focus on professional growth.The chance to work with leading organizations and deliver impactful data solutions.
