This is a permanent position which is based in Emalahleni Head Office. The incumbent will be subjected to signing an employment contract, a performance agreement, disclosure of financial interest and undergo security vetting.
SALARY R734 964.00 per annum.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS B.Tech in Transport Management or Fleet ManagementMust have completed the Municipal Finance Management Programme or CPMDA valid driver's license5 to 10 years experience working at Fleet Workshop preferably Local GovernmentKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Good knowledge, understanding and interpretation of relevant policies and legislationGood knowledge and understanding of institutional governance systems and performance managementGood knowledge of Supply Chain Management regulations and the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2000 (Act No. 5 of 2000)Knowledge of management of landfill siteKnowledge of waste management in a Local Government contextCORE MANAGERIAL & OCCUPATIONAL SKILLS: Programme and Project ManagementFinancial ManagementService Delivery ManagementProblem Solving ManagementPeople Management & EmpowermentClient Orientation & Customer FocusCommunicationCompetence in Self-ManagementKnowledge of Performance Management & ReportingWillingness to work irregular hoursA strategic thinker who possesses leadership qualities with strong general management skillsUnderstanding the transformation challenges and change managementWell developed conflict resolution, negotiation and communication skillsComputer literateResource management skillsFinancial and budgeting skillsAbility to manage performanceThe ability to identify and develop opportunities to the benefit of the municipalityA foresighted developmental strategist on practical ordinary and intelligence security issuesSensitivity for the political and strategic objectives of government, especially local government will be an added advantageKEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Oversee and execute the workshop and maintenance strategiesManage/control and ensure effective utilization and maintenance of council vehiclesCompile monthly/quarterly reports to CouncilMonitor compliance with relevant Acts, Legislations, Council policies and safety standardsDirect, control and manage financial resources within the DepartmentPreparation of the budget and monitoring thereofFacilitate meetings with teams, workshop and other stakeholdersRespond to audit queriesAttend Audit, Risk and Performance meetingsCLOSING DATE: 11 December 2020 ENQUIRIES: Please send your CV together with certified copies of your qualifications, to the Head: Human Resources, P.O.
