Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand has an opportunity available for a POS Jnr Functional Specialist. To provide functional support to the business as well as project support for the Application Development and Maintenance teams for POS.
Minimum Requirements Essential: Grade 12 – Matric or Senior CertificateDiploma in Information Technology, ComputerScience, or other relevant fieldsMinimum of 1- 2 years relevant experiencein POS SolutionsAdvantageous: SAP CertificationPOS system Implementation experiencewith Point-of-Sale databases including SQL andAccess Job Description: POS Project Management: Provide functional Support for POS, Incidents and Problem Management.Define functional specifications according to the business requirements.Identify and specify alternative methods for functions to perform business activities.Perform and document detailed testing.Create training material and providing training to users.Provide QA (quality Assurance) for FSS (Functional System Specifications), SIT (System Integration Testing).Adapt to new application solutions and/ or changes to existing applications for both Business and Functional changes.Participate in the analysis of and test Incidents.POS Systems Support: Respond to and assist with any query, related to POS.Maintain good knowledge of advice on and justification of operational policies and effectiveness of current business applications.Participate in the definition of strategies to make effective use of applications.Submit options for improving processes to decision makers at team lead level.Maximise processing efficiency of system functionality.Provide a friendly and efficient knowledgeable service to all StakeholdersStakeholder Partnership: Establish and maintain relationships with all other IT/SAP teams and team members.Establish and maintain a sound relationship with all Dis-Chem stakeholders.Collaborate closely with all other IT/SAP teams and pro-actively seek out, workable and maintainable systems.Competencies: Essential: Knowledge of POS systemFinds solutions to potential issues as well as knowing when to escalate the problem and what level to escalate it to.Comprehends fundamental arithmetic's like addition, subtraction, multiplication, anddivision.Conveys ideas and facts in writing using language the reader will best understand.Builds constructive working relationships characterised by a high level of acceptance,
cooperation, and mutual respect.Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks. Executes

Able to be relied on as honest and truthful.Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) POS SystemsSpecial conditions of employment: South AfricanMIE, no criminal record, and clear credit rating Driver's license and own reliable transportBe able and willing to provide support outside of normal working hours.
