HCV specializes in heavy commercial vehicle underwriting, with a specific focus on the SME market. The company has been in operation for about 30 years and has a good track record in the industry. We have two vacancies for Portfolio Managers to oversee broker relationships, drive growth, and manage portfolio performance. One position is based in Parktown, Gauteng, and the other in Durban, Kwazulu-Natal. Requirements:

Gr 12 certificate
Full insurance qualifications
NQ4 certification
RE5 qualification
Class of Business certificate
Rep registered (DOFA date)
5 – 10 years Portfolio Management experience essential

Responsibilities:

Broker visits: Assess new business potential and completion of CI-compliant templates on new brokers.
Existing brokers: Document monthly meetings and track action points.
Monthly reporting: Submit required information timeously.
Sales and quote follow-ups: Follow up on quotations that have been approved to close the business. Achieve budgeted gross written premium.
Renewals: Integral part of portfolio management.
Financial reporting: Monitor broker portfolios.
Fleet surveys and driver training: Address trends promptly.
Corrective action: Notify brokers of incremental increases and risk management requirements.
Relationship building: Maintain strong broker-client connections.
Claims reporting: Monitor client claims progress.
Ad hoc tasks: Complete company requests within deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R15000,00 - R25000,00 per month
License/Certification:

Drivers License (Preferred)
