Advance your career by taking on more tasks and making the most of opportunities to grow.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs the Accounts Portfolio Accountant you will be responsible for the following:Each month, conduct thorough checks on each building within the portfolio and compile monthly financial statements, ensuring adherence to the following procedures.Ensure that all monthly contracts and municipal accounts are paid, with accruals made where payments are outstanding.Verify that recoveries are accurately raised for operational costs and utilities.Coordinate with Centre Managers regarding accruals and financial projections.Collaborate with Centre Managers to identify and address any discrepancies or anomalies in ledger entries and payments.Prepare and post all necessary monthly adjusting journal entries.Process monthly accruals and develop financial projections.Generate reports on variances and provide commentary on projections.Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts.Pursue outstanding creditor contractual invoices and resolve any discrepancies.Investigate contractual increases exceeding budgeted figures and raise queries as necessary.Address any discrepancies or concerns with Utility Managers regarding council billings and accruals.Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Assist in budget preparation and data entry.Maintain financial records for audit purposes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Monthly preparation of income comparison reports.Job Experience and Skills RequiredCompleted Bcom in Accounting and related field.3+ years' experience in a Property role in finance.Incumbent may be required to work extended hours over busy periods.Package & Remuneration400,000.00 - 450,000.00
