The Political Data Specialist will support Control Risks' Global Risk Analysis practice in developing and deploying data-driven solutions for business risk management. Successful candidates will be interested in and motivated by collecting and using data to analyse political, social, security, and regulatory questions facing companies and other types of organizations.
Tasks and Responsibilities Support implementation of data-driven consulting products, including data collection, curation, and visualisation. Conception and development of methods and tools for conducting and delivering data-driven political risk analysis. Managing relationships with internal and external data providers and services, including other Control Risks practices. Monitoring trends and developments in available approaches and best practices for data analysis. Minimum Requirements Relevant training or experience sourcing and building datasets, visualizing data, and conducting statistical analysis. Degree or relevant demonstrable subject-matter experience in political, geopolitical, social, security, and/or economic issues. Strong research, writing, and presentation skills. A good understanding of trends and best practices in applying emerging technologies to social science research and analysis. Relevant professional experience in a business context. Professional experience building dynamic dashboards and/or visualizing data products (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau). Professional experience manipulating data and conducting statistical analysis on structured and unstructured datasets (e.g., Python, R).
