Plumbing Quantity Surveyor

A reputable plumbing construction company is seeking a quantity surveyor to join their already successful team. The ideal candidate will have either a Building / B.Tech QS / BSc QS degree.Duties and responsibilities will include:Taking-off measurements from drawings.Compiling BoQ's for the plumbing trade.Material orders.Monthly claims.Pricing of tenders.Added duties:Procurement: Monitor expenditure and incoming invoices from the suppliers, preparation of procurement schedules for projects.Costings: Monitor and track expenses and overall profit margin on the job costings, ensuring that construction site costings are as accurate as possible.Project Claims & Final account: Preparation of project claims right up to final account and close out documents (including hand over and operation manuals).Project Planning/Execution: Studying construction programme and discussing/interpreting programme to site supervisors.Cost report: Preparation of cost reports including profit and loss analysis at the start of the project.Should be able to work independently & under pressure.Candidate Requirements:Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as negotiation skills.Computer literate with workable knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).Fluent in Afrikaans & English.Preference will be given to persons with own vehicle.Desired Skills:PlumbingQuantity SurveyingCost PlanningContractsDesired Work Experience:2 to 5 years
