Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment is looking for an experienced Plumber to join a Luxury Hotel's Maintenance department based in Sea Point.
You will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's plumbing systems, ensuring the functionality of all fixtures, and addressing guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
In this role, you must be skilled, detail-oriented, and have the ability to diagnose and solve plumbing-related problems efficiently. Excellent physical stamina, technical knowledge, and an understanding of hotel infrastructure are key to success.
Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage, and sewage systems.
Inspect and repair fixtures such as toilets, sinks, bathtubs, and showers in guest rooms and common areas.
Identify and address any leaks, blockages, or water pressure issues promptly.
Perform routine checks on the hotel's water heaters, boilers, pumps, and other plumbing-related equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
Collaborate with other maintenance staff to repair or replace faulty systems and fixtures as necessary.
Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests related to plumbing in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of all plumbing repairs, installations, and inspections.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel standards.
Assist with emergency repairs during off-hours or on weekends when necessary.
Provide guidance and support to hotel staff on the proper use and care of plumbing systems.
Requirements:
High school matric or equivalent qualification required.
Plumbing certification or relevant qualifications are required.
A minimum of 3 years' experience as a plumber, ideally within the hospitality industry.
Solid understanding of plumbing systems, tools, and techniques specific to hotel operations.
Familiarity with water heaters, boilers, pumps, and other plumbing-related equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good physical condition and ability to work in confined spaces.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work independently and handle emergency plumbing repairs efficiently
