The following position has become available for a Payroll Specialist, based in Greytown. The purpose of this role is to ensure compliance with applicable country specific labour laws and regulations and company policies with payroll processing and employee support. The Payroll Specialist will be required to perform work of complex tasks relating to the processing of payroll. RESPONSIBILITIES: Process monthly payroll for selected companies All entries received from HRBPs, and employees as set out in SOPs to be processed as required. Reconcile payroll and process monthly salary payments and 3rd party payments All deductions and company contributions should be paid over timeously as required Journals and wage control accounts should be balanced as required by respective companies' finance departments. Reconciliation of wage control accounts related to payroll and employees as required by respective companies finance departments. Reconciliation of debtors control accounts related to payroll and employees. Reconcile month end accounts as set out on PWF. HR-Direct Support Supports employees with various enquiries related to payroll and ESS Audit requirements are attended to timeously with correct information being provided. Handles complex enquiries from external party such as Labour Inspectors and SARS officials All necessary payroll processing filing as per standard set File all payroll processing on employee HRIS system related to employees. Monthly submissions to the DOL Reconcile payroll taxes, unemployment funds and social security as required by revenue services and other relevant authorities in respective countries Submit monthly, quarterly, or annually to the DOL as required. Deal with complex enquiries from government officials. Manage SARS enquiries related to EMP201 and EMP 501 submissions. Ad-Hoc Payroll Activities Requirements: REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications: Payroll Administration Certification National Diploma in Payroll Administration (Ideal) Skills: Communication Skills Customer Service Skills Computer Skills Experience: Payroll Experience - 5 years payroll experience Sage 300 People Payroll System experience
