Ensure its implementation and execution as an executive member of the organization through pro-active contribution to and commitment to cross-functional working relationships.Implement and entrench explicit standard operating procedures as well as a continuous improvement culture that ensures effective, reliable, and highly repeatable processes/systems in the sites.Develop and implement plans that ensure the site performs at an optimum level in order to deliver and meet customer demands and consistent product availability within our markets.Set, drive, and deliver ambitious manufacturing cost reduction targets that positively contribute to the profitability of the business year after year.Continuously increase the manufacturing capacity on the sites to ensure successful delivery on our market penetration and growth strategies and targets.Develop plans to improve the sites' manufacturing and technical performance through the use of World Class Manufacturing (Lean Manufacturing) tools.Liaise with other departments to ensure that finance targets, delivery schedules, quality, and market needs are achieved.Is this job for you?The ideal candidate must have an appropriate university degree (BSC; B.Eng.
Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical) and World Class Manufacturing Instructor certification (added advantage), with a minimum of 10 years' demonstrable experience within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Minimum of 5 years of Operations/Plant management experience in a continuously evolving manufacturing environment where WCM/TPM and ISO practices are well entrenched.
This role calls for a person with the ability to coach and develop others.
The ideal candidate will need exposure in plant turnaround strategy, good communication skills, and interpersonal skills.To make sure nothing is forgottenThe primary purpose of the Plant Manager will be to develop, integrate, and drive the operations strategy to ensure the delivery of overall business objectives.
The Plant Manager will take accountability for technical aspects of manufacturing within Insulation and on a national basis, leading the teams across these divisions to deliver continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
