This role is integral to driving the business unit toward achieving company objectives through strategic leadership and operational excellence.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Science, or a related field, or an equivalent NQF 6 qualification.A minimum of 5 years senior management experience within the Automotive Industry.Strong financial acumen, with a solid understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and financial ratios.Proficiency in Lean manufacturing principles, with a proven ability to manage engineering departments effectively.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement medium to long-term manufacturing strategies that align with the overall business objectives.Lead and inspire the manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency.Approve and oversee production plans, ensuring optimal plant utilization and resource management.Manage and execute plant projects, including the introduction and phase-out of models and business initiatives.Ensure the plant is fully prepared for the implementation of new business projects.Analyze and present production performance reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including forecasts and budgets.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including key suppliers and customers.Participate actively in budget planning and monitor performance against financial targets.Oversee CAPEX requests, disposals, and asset transfers.Contribute to the audit process and drive continuous quality improvements within the department.Achieve and maintain targeted PPM (Parts Per Million) quality levels.Apply for this Job
