Plant Engineer (Automotive) - Port Elizabeth Our client in the automotive industry is looking for a Plant Engineer in the Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth area.
Requirements: Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering Certifications: Government Certificate of Competency (Factories) (GCC) Electrical Previous GMR (2) Appointment and Responsibility Automotive industry experience is a top priority.
Maintenance engineering experience covering all engineering disciplines (Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation) 6 years and above in plant engineering-related roles Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance and Reliability: Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs, conduct regular inspections, and collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment failures.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement, analyse production processes, and implement best practices to enhance productivity and quality.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conduct risk assessments, and lead safety training sessions to promote a culture of safety.
Project Management: Lead engineering projects related to plant expansion, upgrades, or modifications, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards.
All GMR (2) responsibilities including root cause analyses and investigation of incidents.
Ensure the achievement of the overall objectives of manufacturing services and maintenance.
Project management including the commissioning of new equipment.
