The role involves managing paper stock, optimizing production schedules, and driving cost-saving initiatives, among other key responsibilities.Qualifications:Grade 12 with MathematicsComputer literacyNational Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Cost & Management Accounting, or Logistics (NQF Level 6)Degree in Production Management (NQF Level 7) would be an added advantageKey Skills and Attributes:Strong communication skillsHigh attention to detailAnalytical skillsKey Responsibilities:Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) ActEnsure that all paper requirements are met at the plant levelOversee paper stock control, ensuring adherence to minimum and maximum levelsAccurately manage stock, working to reduce or eliminate paper shortagesPlan processes to minimize waste and increase deckling efficiencies (Trim Waste %)Communicate proactively and effectively with paper suppliers and internal stakeholdersIdentify and implement paper cost-saving measures and initiativesEnsure compliance with standards required by external authorization bodies to maintain accreditationsEnsure production and sales teams have a clearly defined plan to followSchedule machines to optimize throughputManage work-in-progress (WIP)Reduce board grades to enhance efficiencySynchronize dispatch to align with productionManage stock levels efficiently
