Min of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Advanced degree preferred.10+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or related roles, preferably within the retail industry.Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand planning strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Computer literacy in Word, Excel and related planning systemsStrong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in forecasting methodologies and demand planning tools.Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with experience in directly managing a team of demand planners.Ability to thrive in an agile and dynamic work environment, with the flexibility to switch between strategic planning and hands-on execution.Proficient in utilising demand planning software and systemsExceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders and is confident to influence and persuade at all levelStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset to identify and address potential issuesResilient and emotional maturityResponsibilities:Develop and implement demand planning strategies and processes to drive accurate forecasting and optimise inventory levels.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain, to gather relevant data and insights to enhance demand forecasts.Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to develop accurate demand forecasts and identify potential risks and opportunities.Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.Lead a team of demand planners, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the achievement of key performance indicators and departmental goals.Continuously monitor and evaluate demand planning performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.Collaborate with the procurement team to align purchasing plans with demand forecasts and ensure optimal inventory levels.Drive demand planning process improvements, leveraging technology and tools to streamline operations and enhance forecasting accuracy.Provide regular reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key insights, trends, and recommendations for improvement.Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies in demand planning and incorporate them into the company's strategies and processes.
