ResponsibilitiesStrategic planningProduction managementSales and financial budgetingDevelop and implement Merchandise, Range, Stock and intake PlanningAnalysing sales performance, stock and planned availabilityManaging and developing Store Planner'sMinimum RequirementsPreferably a relevant business diploma / degree (Retail business management/BCom/Clothing management/BScience/BA)3-5 years planning experienceExtensive Retail knowledgeTechnically strong merchandising skillsHigh attention to detailMerchant and retail ability demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the marketplace, competitors and customer needsKnowledge of business IT systems (including Forecasting and Replenishment, RMS etc)Knowledge of Product lead times to formulate a working critical pathAbility to formulate strategies and implement shorter-term tactical plans that are cost-effective, efficient and realisticAnalytical and interpretative abilityBusiness acumen: an understanding of basic business processes and how sales are generated and the ability to achieve these goalsComputer literate: advanced Excel Skills and ability to operate in a Windows based environmentAssertiveness and influencing abilityEffective communication and interpersonal skillsResults driven and proactiveAbility to work in a pressurised environment
