Minimum Requirements:National Senior CertificateCandidates must have a valid drivers licenseA Diploma or Degree in Mining or Civil Engineering will be advantageousMust have an open pit blasting or rock breaking certificate. Competency A, Legal LiabilityMinimum of 5 years experience in an open pit mining environmentMinimum of 2 years supervisory experienceMust have proven experience with open pit heavy equipment fleet and open pit operations and mechanical inclinedResponsibilities:Compliance with all safety regulations as set out in the mines policiesExecution of planned production activitiesEnsuring targets are achievedPre-shift meeting and inspection of work areasMonitors performance by means of reports, charts, graphs, studies, and visual inspectionsLoading, Hauling and Dump ControlLoading areasAdministration Ensure Machinery is kept in good working conditionDaily Inspections Ensure compliment is managed in line with budgetEnsure subordinates KPIs are clearly definedOvertime managementLeave managementIndustrial relations
