Requirements: Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter Strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques , including cutting, threading, welding, soldering, and bending. Familiarity with pipe materials such as steel, copper, PVC, and PEX is essential. Ability to read and interpret blueprints , schematics , and technical drawings to understand piping system layouts and installation instructions. Relevant Trade Test certification. Ability to lift heavy materials , work in confined spaces , and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations. Relevant certification (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick etc.). Responsibilities: Install and Assemble Piping Systems: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to assemble and install piping systems, valves, and related components for commercial or industrial projects. Pipe Cutting, Threading, and Bending: Cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required dimensions, using hand and power tools (e.g., pipe cutters, threading machines, pipe benders). Welding and Soldering: Perform welding (e.g., MIG, TIG, or Stick welding) and soldering on pipes and fittings as necessary, ensuring high-quality joints and leak-proof installations. System Testing: Test piping systems for leaks and ensure that systems are functioning correctly before handover. Use pressure gauges and other tools to check for leaks or weaknesses. Maintain Safety Standards: Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and regulatory standards to ensure a safe working environment, including proper handling of tools and materials, use of PPE, and following worksite safety procedures. Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair issues with existing piping systems, such as leaks or blockages, and replace or fix damaged components as required. Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues or modifications made to the system.
