Requirements:Proven experience as a Pipe FitterStrong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques, including cutting, threading, welding, soldering, and bending.
Familiarity with pipe materials such as steel, copper, PVC, and PEX is essential.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand piping system layouts and installation instructions.Relevant Trade Test certification.Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations.Relevant certification (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick etc.
).Responsibilities:Install and Assemble Piping Systems:Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to assemble and install piping systems, valves, and related components for commercial or industrial projects.Pipe Cutting, Threading, and Bending:Cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required dimensions, using hand and power tools (e.g., pipe cutters, threading machines, pipe benders).Welding and Soldering:Perform welding (e.g., MIG, TIG, or Stick welding) and soldering on pipes and fittings as necessary, ensuring high-quality joints and leak-proof installations.System Testing:Test piping systems for leaks and ensure that systems are functioning correctly before handover.
Use pressure gauges and other tools to check for leaks or weaknesses.Maintain Safety Standards:Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and regulatory standards to ensure a safe working environment, including proper handling of tools and materials, use of PPE, and following worksite safety procedures.Troubleshooting and Repair:Diagnose and repair issues with existing piping systems, such as leaks or blockages, and replace or fix damaged components as required.Documentation and Reporting:Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues or modifications made to the system.If youre ready for an exciting new challenge, we want to hear from you!
