Job Specification: Key Performance Areas: Picking of Stock Using a printed picking sheet, collect stock from authorized pick face, place it safely on a pallet, and transport it to the correct allocated cagePicking the correct material code with the correct quantity and the correct batch numberReporting any anomaly to your line manager with regard to stockMaking sure that the stock is protected from damages on the pallet by using slip sheetsMaintains a Clean Workplace Picking stock from one pallet at a timeDusting and cleaning waste as a result of damages caused by your pallet jack – immediatelyPlacing waste in the correct allocated binAvoiding damaging of products by incorrect handling of bags, cases etc.Report any damages to the Inventory team immediatelyOperate the pallet jack safely at all times Operating safely means: careful at the blind corners, to watch out for pedestrians and forkliftsOperating your pallet jack in such a way and speed to keep damages to company products and property to an absolute minimum, i.e. to stay clear from racks and not to drop pallets and stockReporting any accidents your pallet jack is involved in and any damages to your supervisor immediatelyAdhering to MARSH and SHEQ policies and proceduresAssist with Stock control and any warehouse requirements, by: Assisting the inventory team with daily cycle countFollow SOP's for picking functionFocus on picking international, long haul and wholesale ordersAssisting with cycle counts by physically counting stock as and when required and instructed by your line managerPrepare warehouse for quarterly stock takeFollow company rules and regulationsFollow all reasonable operation instructionsAvailable to work overtime when requiredKnowledge Required: VMI – Vendor management Inventory (Pick, Pack and Count)Wall to Wall stock count in FMCG IndustriesBulk picking / Long-haul picking advantageousExport cargo (pick and pack) advantageousQualifications and Experience: National Senior certificate (Matric ) Grade 12, none negotiableMathematics passed (Grade 12)Post Matric qualifications in warehousing / inventory / supply chain advantageousCompetencies: Attention to detailQuality-orientedTeam workSafety Compliance
