To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Physiotherapy graduates or existing Band 5 Physiotherapists to join a varied rotational scheme for Physiotherapists throughout Inverness and Ross and Cromarty. The rotation provides opportunities to gain experience in a broad range of specialties within acute hospital, intermediate care, out-patients, community hospital and domiciliary settings.The successful post-holder will be required to rotate on a 4 monthly basis and will experience the specialties of Orthopaedics, Medical, Surgical/ITU, Rehabilitation/Stroke, Rheumatology, Community, Mental Health/Learning and Disability and MSK Outpatients. Within these rotations, further experience can be gained in Hydrotherapy, Pulmonary and Vascular Rehabilitation, Prosthetics, Obstetrics/Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Occupational Health.An emergency duty respiratory on-call service is provided on a rota basis. Orthopaedic services both at Raigmore and the National Treatment Centre are delivered over 7 days and as such weekend working is required when on rotation in these areas.Active continuous professional development, Turas and staff appraisal systems are in operation and new graduates will be supported to complete the Flying Start programme in their first year of practice.Applicants must have current HCPC registration. Pre-registration candidates may be considered for short listing. The ability to work independently and as part of a team of Physiotherapy staff in the provision of efficient and effective physiotherapy services is required as are excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Previous experience as a Band 5 Physiotherapist and experience of supervising support worker staff are desirable. Full driving licence is required with access to a car for work use being desirable.NHS Highland serves a large geographical area with a population of 320,000.
