GASTROENTEROLOGIST ESOPHAGEAL/FOREGUT SPECIALIST Ochsner Health DEPARTMENT OF GASTROENTEROLOGY NEW ORLEANS Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible GASTROENTEROLOGIST to lead our esophageal disease program.

Position Highlights:
Focus on esophageal disease no general GI clinics, unless desiredOpportunity to lead the GI aspect of an existing, regional, multidisciplinary esophageal swallowing disorders program that includes specialists from foregut surgery, thoracic surgery, otorhinolaryngology, and speech and swallow pathologyOversee an exisiting esophageal motility lab that offers leading edge diagnostics includes high-resolution esophageal manometry with impedance, EndoFlip, BRAVO pH testing, and pH impedance testingDepartmental support to practice/develop/lead related programs in Barretts esophagus and endobariatrics, if desired.Join a collegial, 23-physician, GI group comprised general GIs, hepatologists, IBD subspecialists, and advanced endoscopistsExcellent call schedule shared among large GI group currently 5 weeks/yearOpportunity to teach Institution supports a strong GI fellowship (3 trainees/year) and Internal Medicine residency programsGI-dedicated clinical research infrastructure availableCompensation and Benefits:
