Ochsner Childrens Hospital is seeking a Section Head of Pediatric Surgery as well as junior faculty to join our U.S. News & World Report ranked #1 Childrens Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana.
New members of our group practice will be joining three other pediatric surgeons who are part of a high-functioning, rapidly growing tertiary/quaternary Pediatrics Program and Childrens Hospital.
Our comprehensive Pediatrics Program including primary care pediatricians and pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists (Ochsner Childrens) represents over 230 physicians.
The group is the regions leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
We offer a full range of pediatric services including congenital heart surgery and cardiac transplantation, liver and bone marrow transplantation, a comprehensive surgical sub-specialty group, and the regions only comprehensive multidisciplinary developmental center.
We recently announced the building of a new separate, comprehensive, dedicated Childrens Hospital on our main campus, with expected opening in 2027. We currently care for patients in an expanding 67-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed PICU, a 12-bed pediatric CV-ICU, and a 44-bed pediatric acute unit, with a dedicated pediatric emergency room, and full-time, region-wide in-house pediatric and neonatal transport teams. In addition to patient care, our faculty are involved in teaching residents in the Ochsner Surgery and Pediatrics Residency programs, as well as medical students from the University of Queensland.
Ochsner Health and Xavier University of Louisiana recently announced an agreement to establish a joint College of Medicine.
