The position requires demanding work after hours as there are after school activities and events, weekend fixtures, and potential holiday commitments.General description of the position:To assume the position of:PHYSICALEDUCATIONEDUCATORSPORTCO-ORDINATORSPORTS COACHAssist with the coordination of the Sports Department including but not limited to:Supervision of coaches and the extra-curricular calendar.Co-ordinate various sporting events e.g. sports days, swimming galas, termly sports fixtures, events off school property etc.Preferably able to coach the following sports: Hockey and/or Soccer.To attend subject-specific workshops/training/coaching courses and to report back to members of the Sports Department.To perform various school duties, including attending after hours functions and other school-related duties.Develop positive relationships with Sports, Coaching and Teaching staff.Applicants would need the following personal attributes:A friendly and approachable demeanour, a positive, cheerful disposition and a ''can do'' attitude. An enthusiasm for team work is essential.An ability to take initiative, and responsibility for tasks, and be accountable as needed.A methodical and organised approach to work.Willingness to be very physically active - as the job requires.Necessary qualifications and skills would include:A relevant Bachelor's Degree and teaching qualification would be the minimum requirement, with SACE registration.The candidate must be qualified to teach Physical Education as per the CAPS curriculum.At least 2 years' experience teaching Physical Education.A valid and up-to-date Police clearance certificate.Good administrative and computer skills are essential.
