Phlebotomist

Job Purpose:
Correct collection, handling, and transportation of samples for testing.
Assist with self-collection of samples and certain medical procedures under the supervision of a nurse or doctor.
Perform point of care testing.
Qualifications / Knowledge:

Grade 12 Certificate
2-3 Years experience
Qualified Medical Technician in Phlebotomy
Registered with HPCSA
Valid driver's License (for use of company vehicle)

Key Accountabilities:

Collection / Delivery of specimens, reports, and other items:

Effective collection of specimens from various clients as per SOP.
Handle administrative duties and queries as appropriate.
Maintain safe and housekeeping standards in accordance with OHS Act.
Provide functional support in the department.


Quality Management:

Ensure the correct application of quality assurance processes in standard operating procedures.
Adherence to company policies and procedures.
