Due to ongoing expansion and growth of the business, we are always seeking new talent to join our exciting team.You will be responsible for providing high standards of pharmaceutical care and dispensary services in accordance with Good Pharmacy Practice, in a retail environment.Minimum Requirements:Essential:BPharm or equivalent qualificationRegistered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)Computer literate – MS OfficeBilingualDuties and Responsibilities:Provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for all patients' medicine-related needs, and being accountable for meeting those needs, which shall include, but not be limited to the following functions:Evaluation of a patient's medicine-related needs by determining the indication, safety, and effectiveness of the therapyAccurately interpret scripts and act in a professional and responsible manner, and within the legal requirements in accordance with the SAPCCorrect errors on scripts rejected by medical aidDispensing of any medicine or scheduled substance on the prescription of a person authorised to prescribe medicineDetermining patient compliance with the therapy, and follow-up to ensure that the patient's medicine-related needs are being metThe provision of pharmacist-initiated therapyThe manufacturing of any medicine or scheduled substance, or supervision thereofKeep abreast of changes in medical aid procedures and requirements for claims and dispensingCompetencies:Essential:Good communication skills, listeningBasic dosing and important drug interactionCustomer service/focusAbility to train other staff membersConflict managementStrong attention to detailProblem-solvingTeam playerTrustworthy and honestTime managementAble to deal with pressureSpecial conditions of employment:Registered with the South African Pharmacy CouncilWilling and able to work retail hoursPhysically fit and able to stand for long periodsUnisolv experience would be to your advantage but will not disqualify you.Kindly note only applicants who meet the minimum requirements and that are short-listed will be contacted.
