Current registration with SAPC is a requirement. No experience after registration with SAPC as Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic).GRADE 2: Post basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification that allows registration with South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic). Current registration with SAPC is a requirement. A minimum of 5 years' experience after registration with SAPC as Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic).IN ADDITION TO ALL ABOVE: Computer Literacy will be an added advantage. Basic communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical processes, relevant legislations and policies, record keeping, and drug supply management. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. High level of personal integrity, passion, and commitment to the profession.Duties:The incumbent will work under direct/indirect supervision of the Pharmacist.Dispensing medication to in- and outpatient departments.Issuing medication to wards and stock management in the wards.Pre-packing of medication and shelving of medication.Assist with Stock taking in the pharmacy store.Picking of prescription for patients.Any other work specified by the pharmacist.Assist with the re-packaging of medicine, according to standard operating procedure approved by the responsible Pharmacist.Appropriate management of pharmaceutical items.Assist with ordering, receiving, and distribution of pharmaceuticals.Implement the standard operating procedure, good pharmacy practice, norms, and standards.Assist in general housekeeping and administration tasks in the pharmacy as specified by the Responsible Pharmacist or supervising pharmacist.Employer: Department of HealthLocation: RAHIMA MOOSA MOTHER AND CHILD HOSPITALClosing Date: 23-10-2024Criteria Questions:Do you have a Post basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification that allows registration with South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic)?Are you currently registered with SAPC as pharmacist assistant post basic?Notes:Due to the large number of applications we envisage receiving, applications will not be acknowledged.
