Job Description:The role will ensure effective Geotechnical operations as per organisational requirements and assist the Geotechnical Engineering Manager in providing a geotechnical service to mine management in both underground and surface environments.(ads1)Job Responsibilities:Inclusion of penalties on substandard support prior to the circulation of support certificates for signature.Prepare Geotechnical Inspection Reports and Instruction Notes.Provide Geotechnical Engineering expertise and skills within area of responsibility.Monitor performance of new support elements undergoing trials and prepare reports.Engage internal and external stakeholders on Geotechnical Engineering related matters as required.Prepare technical reports on performance of new support elements.Participate in draw control meetings to ensure adherence to draw compliance.Sampling of underground support units for testing at external laboratories.Geotechnical Report writing aligned with standards, guidelines and schedules.Collect and interpret Geotechnical data in accordance with standards.Maintenance and calibration of geotechnical equipment.Job Requirements:Computer Literacy and Microsoft Office Suite.A minimum of 4 years' experience in and knowledge of the Geotechnical / Underground Mining field.Valid driver's license.COM Strata Control Certificate.Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or Mining Engineering.Software skills in CAD and database management (Intermediate)Job Details:Company:Petra DiamondsVacancy Type:Full TimeJob Location:KoffiefonteinApplication Deadline: N/A(ads2)Apply Hereinstantcareers.net#J-18808-Ljbffr
