Responsibilities: TechnicalIdentify, report, and rectify all technical areas of concern on assigned production equipment (machines, moulds, etc.).Have an in-depth understanding of:Product and its quality criteria.Process (material feeding and drying, injection moulding, reheat stretch blow moulding, and injection blow moulding).In-depth knowledge of all equipment, detailed for assigned equipment.Mould installation.Technical principles and drawings (e.g. assemblies and spare part finding, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric).Fault analysis and problem solving.Independently perform fault analysis and problem solving (teamwork as needed).Product quality, processing issues.Mould issues.Machine malfunction (mechanic/hydraulic/pneumatic/electric).Recognize and report problems to the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager for equipment other than the assigned equipment.MaintenanceIndependently develop maintenance plans and checklists (teamwork as needed).Report parts needed to the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager and assist in decisions to stock or source at breakdown.Assist the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager in the ordering process (e.g. prepare documents, follow up on orders).Plan for the year ahead and assist the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager with work on budget for maintenance.Health & SafetyEnsure and enforce that all aspects within the area of responsibility conform to health and safety requirements.Maintain housekeeping standards in the area of responsibility (e.g. ensure cleanliness of assigned machines and areas).Work safely and report on safety hazards or issues.Report any accidents, incidents, and near misses.QualityApply the company's quality principles and standards.Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Food Safety System Certification (FSSC):Apply the site's food safety principles and standards.Report any food safety hazards or issues to your Supervisor/Manager.Comply with and maintain all GMPs in relation to the company's FSMS (Food Safety Management System).Self-Development, Growth, and TrainingRealistically assess own strengths and development areas and undertake actions to address any weaknesses that hinder the fulfilment of your objectives.Keep abreast of innovations and technical improvements for self-development and the development of the company.Maintain contact with key suppliers and discuss innovations with them.Read operator manuals of machines.Read literature related to your position (e.g. on the internet, Google, etc.).Teamwork and cooperation.Self-management.Leadership and interpersonal relationships.Product and service quality.GeneralPerform additional tasks as required from time to time.
