Our client is seeking a qualified PET Process Technician to join their team.
Responsibilities: Technical Identify, report, and rectify all technical areas of concern on assigned production equipment (machines, moulds, etc.).
Have an in-depth understanding of: Product and its quality criteria.
Process (material feeding and drying, injection moulding, reheat stretch blow moulding, and injection blow moulding).
In-depth knowledge of all equipment, detailed for assigned equipment.
Mould installation.
Technical principles and drawings (e.g.
assemblies and spare part finding, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric).
Fault analysis and problem-solving.
Independently perform fault analysis and problem-solving (teamwork as needed).
Product quality and processing issues.
Mould issues.
Machine malfunction (mechanic/hydraulic/pneumatic/electric).
Recognize and report problems to the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager for equipment other than the assigned equipment.
Maintenance Independently develop maintenance plans and checklists (teamwork as needed).
Ensure maintenance is done at required intervals according to the plans.
Assist the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager in the ordering process (e.g.
prepare documents and follow up on orders).
Plan for the year ahead and assist the Maintenance Manager & Production Manager with work on budget for maintenance.
Health & Safety Ensure and enforce that all aspects within the area of responsibility conform to health and safety requirements.
Maintain housekeeping standards in the area of responsibility (e.g.
ensure cleanliness of assigned machines and areas).
Work safely and report on safety hazards or issues.
Report any accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Quality Apply the company's quality principles and standards.
Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Food Safety System Certification (FSSC).
Apply the site's food safety principles and standards.
Report any food safety hazards or issues to your Supervisor/Manager.
Comply with and maintain all GMPs in relation to the company's FSMS (Food Safety Management System).
Self-Development, Growth, and Training Realistically assess your strengths and development areas and undertake actions to address any weaknesses hindering your objectives' fulfilment.
Keep abreast of innovation and technical improvements for self-development and the company's development.
Maintain contact with key suppliers and discuss innovations with them.
Read operator manuals of machines.
Read literature related to your position (e.g.
on the internet, Google, etc.).
