Our client, a top-tier insurance company renowned for its customer-centric approach and innovative solutions, is looking for a talented Personal Lines Underwriter to join their team.Duties and Responsibilities:Financial:Ensure new business targets are met.Ensure Binder fees targets are met.Ensure retention of existing clients.Ensure and contribute to minimisation of general expenses.Client:Ensure that all stakeholder (e.g. clients, AE's, insurers) communication is accurate, timeous, professional and relevant.Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Ensure and contribute to achieving own and company required client satisfaction targets.Business Processes:General enquiries such as but not limited to cover, products, processes etc.New business, renewals, endorsements and re-broke.Conduct risk assessments.Analyse clients' portfolios.Request, obtain and assess quotes from insurers.Rate policies.Request, obtain and/or provide clients with all required information and/or documents.Arrange valuations and reinsurance.Raise premiums.File all relevant documentation electronically and in hard copy.Upsell cover to clients where appropriate.Follow retention processes.Confirm cancellation request with the client.Refunds.Raise invoices.Request refunds from the line manager electronically.Adhere to company mandates.Participate and contribute in ad hoc projects.Report any suspected fraud, misrepresentation and/or dishonesty.Keep an accurate record of your own activities.Learning and Growth:Live the company's values.Ensure continuous self-development.Ensure objectives of own development plans are achieved.Share information and knowledge with the team.Ensure productivity and quality assurance targets are met.Qualifications & Skills:Matric or equivalent.FAIS Compliant.Computer Literate.Excellent communication skills.Excellent customer service skills.Experience:2 years experience working in a client services environment.2 years experience as a Personal Lines Underwriter.
