Full job descriptionThe Transport Department requires Code 14 Drivers who will be responsible for driving a variety of code 14 vehicles.
Tasks include, amongst others:Responsible for the vehicle and load.Daily inspection of the vehicle and to report all faults.Loading and off-loading various material and equipmentEnsure adherence to the Road Traffic ActEnsure the safety of other road usersAbide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies and the regulations of the road.Navigate your way around Gauteng areaQUALIFYING EXPERIENCEA minimum Grade 12 certificateValid, unendorsed Code 14 license with valid PDP3 years driving experienceHands on and practical approach to the jobExperience driving vehicles with manual gearboxes.Operating a Mounted Grab Crane, skip or RoRo will be an advantage.Experienced in reversing a draw-bar trailer required.QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTESHard working and self-motivatedEffective communication skills – verbal and writtenTime management and organisational skillsDisplay a professional work approachExcellent state of healthGood customer serviceSelf-motivatedSober habits and good healthPrepared to work overtime and weekends when needed
