People Specialist (Training Content Designer)

ROLE OVERVIEW The People Specialist (Training Content Designer) is responsible for creating engaging and effective training content for our employees across the business. This role requires a creative and innovative individual willing and able to travel to different locations, work with a sense of urgency, and deliver quality training materials.

This position is fully office-based at Trumali House, Stellenbosch.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES Design creative training materials, including instructional videos, animations, interactive presentations, and infographics and manuals.Work closely with SMEs and other stakeholders to gather information and guidance for content development.Ensure all training materials are aligned with company standards and objectives.Travel to various Hungry Lion stores when necessary to do in-store recordings.Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to very tight deadlines.Maintain a high level of creativity and innovation in all aspects of learning and development content design.Ensure that the administrative tasks related to content design are strictly complied with.REQUIREMENTS Intermediate to advanced skills in Canva and Canva Pro.Adobe Suite is advantageous.Proficient in video and animation editing apps.Willingness to travel to various store locations, when necessary.Valid driver's licence preferred.Quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry experience preferred.COMPETENCIES Strong written and verbal communication skills: Essential for creating clear and effective training materials and for communicating with SMEs and other stakeholders.Excellent organisational and basic project management skills: Important for managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.Ability to work independently and as part of a team: Critical for collaborating with others and also for working autonomously when needed.High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work: Ensures that training materials are accurate, thorough, and professional.Creativity and innovation in designing training materials: Vital for developing engaging and effective training content that captures the learners' attention.Strong problem-solving skills: Helps in addressing any challenges that arise during the content development process.Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality: Necessary for meeting deadlines without compromising the quality of the work.Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills: Important for working effectively with SMEs, stakeholders, and team members with the ability to assertively challenge stakeholders when necessary.Flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements and environments: Essential for adjusting to new information, feedback, and evolving business needs.Closing date for applications: Thursday, 17 October 2024 at 11am
