As an integrated technology company, Siemens aims to play a constructive role in Africa's success story.Role Headline:The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing the region's Hire to Retire Operations and overseeing the daily operational activities of the assigned team, plans and manages workload by assigning staff to tasks to meet requirements in terms of efficiency, quality, compliance and customer and user satisfaction while actively supporting the implementation of the H2R (Hire to Retire) transformation.Responsibilities of the Role:Process Management:Driving the team to ensure robust process documentation and knowledge management practices.Robust KPI framework.Robust quality framework.The management of share plan administration.Manages escalations and identifies process improvement initiatives to consistently deliver an optimised performance.Is the main point of contact for company liabilities with external Institutions (e.g. Social Security, Insurances, Government departments etc.) and ensures compulsory documentation is always accurate and updated in case of external audit.Ensure adherence to all BCG Rules and responsibilities such as EHS/Quality Management etc.Decides on personnel resource allocation and is responsible for the management of related budget planning and reporting.People Management:Leads and coordinates the assigned team (both local and offshore).Act as a role model, by building a culture of teamwork, ownership, and trust. As a natural people leader, empower and balance a team of skilled and engaged employees.Workforce management including recruiting, retaining, performance management, and engagement.Drive process improvement and digitalization.Identify and implement automation.Fosters people development by setting targets, coaching, providing feedback, encouraging knowledge management, skills development, and fostering team culture to ensure a strong service attitude and high level of employee engagement.Ensure that the team understands and supports technology solutions such as Workday, People Center, CARL, EPA, etc.Client relationship:Relationship management with the Head - HR for the countries supported.Governance and Reporting of Metrics.Current operations overview.Managing future roadmap.Single point of ownership for operational delivery of the region/countries.Short-term goals:Stabilize operations and deliver high-quality standards.Establish/enhance quality framework. Continually measure, track and improve quality metrics across processes.Establish robust KPI framework; work with the customer organizations to socialize KPI metrics and ensure that the KPIs relate to customer expectations of service; monitor escalations and integrate learning from those into KPIs; continually measure, track, and improve KPIs.Drive productivity and saving targets; establish transaction-based pricing and ensure costs are proportional to BVIs; continually drive measures to reduce cost per transactions; build processes such that transactional costs are non-linear and result in productivity gains with increasing volumes.Long-term goals:Ensure superior strategies for HR Operations, implement new age technologies such as RPA, AI, etc.Focus on enhancing end user experience across services; diligently measure, track and improve user satisfaction index.Focus on delivering value for business and HR; continually measure, track and improve customer satisfaction.Qualifications and Experience:Relevant formal qualification in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience.5+ years of Team Lead/Managerial experience leading teams and projects in HR environment.Process and Change Management experience (advantageous).Knowledge and experience in the administration of both Blue- and White-Collar Employees.Understanding of Sub-Saharan Africa Country Legislation.Experience with Workday HRIS, PaySpace Payroll and other HR IT Applications.Good knowledge of HR / People Management core processes.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (Business English).Strong negotiation skills.Skills:Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Knowledge of Power BI reporting tools.Attributes/Competencies:Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent planning and organisational skills.Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving abilities.Meticulous attention to detail.Relationship builder and confident communicator.Energetic and enthusiastic.Good team player.Ability to manage, coach, lead and inspire a team of professionals/operators.Our culture:Our culture embraces different perspectives, open debate, and the will to challenge convention.
