Role Headline The successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the daily operational activities of the assigned team, plans and manages workload by assigning staff to tasks to meet requirements in terms of efficiency, quality, compliance and customer and user satisfaction while actively supporting the implementation of the H2R (Hire to Retire) transformation. Responsibilities of the Role- Operations Management: Leads the P&O Shared Services for Sub Saharan Africa and drives for a high performance, strong customer/business focus and service-oriented culture by understandingcustomers' and users' needs, expectations, and key business drivers.Manages the assigned team to achieve high efficiency, quality, compliance and customer and user satisfaction across the entire employee life cycle inclusive of Onboarding, Benefit consulting, all the way through to offboarding.Contributes to continuous process and IT improvement, standardisation, and automation of various HRIS Systems such as Workday, PaySpace, etc.The management of share plan administration.Ensure achievement of SLA targets and agreed global KPIs, identification of root causes of operational issues and implementation of improvement measures.Manages escalations and identifies process improvement initiatives to consistently deliver an optimised performance.Coordinates and/or liaises with external service providers and monitors their performance against respective SLAs. Contributes to regulatory updates within P&O Regional OrganisationIs the main point of contact for company liabilities with external Institutions (e.g. Social Security, Insurances, Government departments etc) and ensures compulsory documentation is always accurate and updated in case of external audit.Manages the P&O administration process of special projects including carve-in and carve-outs. Ensure adherence to all BCG Rules and responsibilities such as EHS/Quality Management etc.Decides on personnel resource allocation and is responsible for the management of related budget planning and reporting.People Management Leads and coordinates the assigned team (both local and offshore)Act as an role model, by building a culture of teamwork, ownership, and trust. As a natural people leader, empower and balance a team of skilled and engaged employees. Fosters people development by setting targets, coaching, providing feedback, encouraging knowledge management, skills development, foster team culture to ensure a strong service attitude and high level of employee engagement.Foster communication and cross-collaboration within the r team and with the global colleagues.Develop and nurture a long-term trust-based relationship with key internal stakeholders and partner with the local country and global support functions Qualifications and Experience Relevant formal qualification in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience.5+ years of managerial experience leading teams and projectsProcess and Change Management experience (advantageous)Knowledge and experience in the administration of both Blue- and White-Collar EmployeesUnderstanding of Sub-Saharan Africa Country LegislationExperience with Workday HRIS, PaySpace Payroll and other HR IT ApplicationsGood knowledge of HR / People Management core processesExcellent communication skills both verbal and written (Business English)Strong negotiation skillsSkills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of Power BI reporting toolsAttributes/Competencies Ability to priorities and work under pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent planning and organisational skills.
