At Anglo American we're re-imagining mining to improve people's lives.Our metals are the essential ingredients in smartphones, electric cars, wind turbines; and our diamonds fulfil your dreams.We have developed a Sustainable Mining Plan that will foster innovation and deliver step change results across the entire mining value chain.Smart innovation in technology, digitisation & sustainability working hand in hand to connect metals & minerals to all of us who need and value them.Join us in transforming the very nature of the industry to help create a safer, cleaner, smarter future.People & Organisation AdvisorThe purpose of this role is to provide P&O advice and support to the line managers, project contractors and employees by providing services across the full range of P&O activities.Responsibilities:Performance and DeliveryProvide advice, guidance, and support to employees and line managers on interpreting P&O policies, procedures, and employment terms and conditions.Deliver P&O services such as manpower planning, recruitment, performance management, reward, management of incapacity cases and employee relations through technical proficiency.Actively participate in various operational meetings to ensure alignment and fit-to-purpose service.Provide independent support and advice to comply with transformational and labour legislation.Assist line managers in developing well-defined structures and roles with aligned competencies and learning paths.Assist line managers in determining levels of employee capabilities through talent management and performance management standards.Maintain sound employee relations through continuous coaching, consulting, and negotiating.Monitor good P&O practices through reporting to line management.Conduct diagnostic studies, analyze data to determine root causes for people-related problems, and advise line management on possible solutions.Ensure data integrity through auditing and maintenance of the relevant P&O systems.Safety, Health, and EnvironmentMaintain a healthy environment and safe operations practices.Active participation in VFLs, Risk Assessments and close-out of Safety Actions.Sustainability and SocialEnsure alignment and collaboration with the Social Way Program within Kumba.People and TeamsNetwork, promote teamwork, provide support, and advise and influence performance.ComplianceEnsure compliance with all statutory requirements.Qualifications:National Diploma in HRM /Organisational / Human Resources or Organisational & Industrial Psychology (NQF6)SA Drivers LicenseTechnical Knowledge:P&O Generalist functional experienceExperience in the use of SAP HR, MS OfficeWho we are?Anglo American is a global diversified mining business.
