Purpose of Role: To facilitate the implementation of the People Strategic Plans for the specific site/plant.Implementation of People interventions, providing the frameworks and guidance to ensuring alignment with business objectives for the specific site/plant.Key Responsibilities: Providing a comprehensive HR service on all aspects of people management.Extensive support and in-depth understanding of all policies, procedures, labour legislation, and related processes.Drive and implement strategic Human Resources initiatives supporting the divisional strategic business plans, including talent management and organizational design.Co-ordination and implementation of Workplace Skills Plan.Drive the operational transformation plans in line with the strategic business plan.Influencing management decision making by interpreting and analyzing relevant Human Capital information.Drive Performance Management system and offer strategic business initiatives at all levels.Ensure governance and compliance to all HR related processes and procedures.Facilitation and implementation of Remuneration and Rewards, policies and procedures to improve retention.Foster harmonious Employee Relations climate in the operation and ensure stakeholder management and partnering.Ensure compliance with organizational policy, procedures and legal requirements.Manage external litigation proceedings at the CCMA (conciliation and arbitration process).Oversee disciplinary hearings and grievances (formal process ensuring procedural and substantive fairness).RecruitmentCollaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.Lead the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers and other stakeholders.Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.Qualifications: Minimum requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology, or an equivalent qualification (an Honours Degree will be advantageous).Experience: 5-7 years of experience within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) role.Strong knowledge of Labour legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Labour Relations Act (LRA) and all relevant statutory laws.Sound knowledge of Payroll and HR information systems.Key Attributes: Understanding of the business value chain and strategy understanding.A thorough understanding of all the appropriate Acts (LRA, BCEA, OSH, COID, EEA).Business Partnering skills with sound problem solving abilities.Negotiation and effective conflict resolution skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.Strategic thinking with a focus on aligning HR practices with business objectives.Proactive approach to identifying HR-related issues and implementing effective solutions.Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop HR team members.NB: Specific duties/responsibilities will vary from time to time: the above list is intended to indicate the general nature of the post and is not exhaustive.
