JOB DESCRIPTIONKey Responsibilities:Providing exiting employees, who are Fund members, with Retirement Options Counselling and information upon requestCalculation and distribution of Retirement Projections upon member requestEngage members reaching normal and planned Retirement age to initiate the processMaintaining an audit trail of all interactions with members using the relevant systems and processesProviding employees or dependents with the necessary Funeral claim documentation and prompt process of the Funeral Claim upon receipt of the necessary documentation and informationEnsuring prompt and regular follow ups on all claims with the relevant stakeholders in order to ensure seamless claims processCollation, vetting and retention of all the supporting documentation on the members' recordEnsure timeous correspondence with the relevant member within SLA.Submitting the claim to the Fund administrator according to legislation such as the Pension Funds Act and/or relevant legislationTimeous and accurate electronic claim submission via the Fund administrator's administration systemThe prompt attention and resolution of member queries related to the Retirement Fund, death, disability and funeral in RSA and ROAContinuous focus on process improvement and efficiencies as well as identifying risks and provide possible solutions to correct and mitigate possible risksEnsure the relevant process reports are completed and current in line with the relevant departmental SLAAd hoc duties and projects aligned to departmental KPA'sQualification and Experience:Matric3-4 years Administration experience2 years Retirement benefit counselling and Funeral Claim processingWorking knowledge of the Pension Funds ActEnglish (essential), Afrikaans and/or African languagesExperience working on or familiar with administration systemsSkills:Good verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsA thorough, organised and methodical approach to work with the aim of meeting deadlinesGood problem-solving and prioritization skillsGood working knowledge of MS office (Outlook, Word and Excel essential)Excellent administrative skills and exceptional accuracy and attention to detailSelf-disciplined with the ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a teamGood numerical and analytical abilityHigh adaptability, flexibility, resilience and agilityInnovative thinking to identify process efficiencies and successfully implement measures to streamline processesBehaviours:Applies market and business insights in order to drive organisational objectivesEffectively works with others to achieve shared goalsDevelops plans and prioritises initiatives that align to the organisational goals and objectivesAssesses and improves the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of various work processesInterprets and simplifies complex and contradictory information when resolving organisational problemsTakes accountability and ensures others are held to account on agreed upon performance targetsReadily takes on new challenges and opportunities with a sense of urgency and eagernessConveys information and communicates ideas in a clear, concise and impactful mannerInspires trust and gains the confidence of others by displaying honesty and integrityLeverages new technology to enhance productivity, improve problem solving, and support business growthPreference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.ABOUT USWho we are is because of our people.
