The Payroll Team Lead will be responsible for legislative and procedural compliance and administration of the company's payroll systems, and payroll team whilst maintaining strict confidentiality standards. Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related client service, including recordkeeping and reporting.

What You'll Do For The Brand: Oversee and manage processing and maintenance of South Africa and Africa payroll companies, as allocated on the payroll software system to ensure effective, accurate, complete and timeous payrolls and payments. Ensure statutory compliance. Overseeing the relevant payroll officers and junior payroll officers. Ensure effective collaboration and flow of information between the team members, including the other teams and team members within the payroll department. Responsible for overseeing, monitoring, performance coaching, supervising and discipline, including leave and hours approval. Providing support and query resolution for the team, ensuring all queries are attended within 24 hours. Document all Payroll Improvement Queries, escalate and ensure all are fully and timeously resolved. Encourage practice of the companies' values. Ensure adherence to procedures, policies and deadlines. Providing applicable training (including the whole payroll department) where required. Ensure Continuous Improvement by looking for ways to improve payroll department in all areas i.e. processes, people, risk. Overseeing, preparation, review and detailed checking of consolidated, monthly and other payroll packs, journals, reconciliations, statutory, costing and reports generated by the Payroll team as required, ensuring correctness and timeous completion. Preparation and collation of finance salary, monthly and other packs and monthly, annual and ad hoc reports, analysis and reconciliations as required. Oversee and check salary, external and out of cycle payments ensuring correct, accurate fully approved and timeous payments for payrolls allocated to the Payroll team. Responsible for all activities related to payroll processing any payrolls as required. Process payroll and maintain payroll information accurately as required, ensuring all transactions are authorized, recorded and documented. Ensure that salaries are correctly and timeously paid, and that provident funds, statutory and payroll related payments (external providers) are paid by the due dates. Prepare and maintain related payroll packs, records, reports, summaries and journals. Stay current and test Payroll system delivered tax updates/updated payroll functionality changes or new functionalities that are released in the system and communicates these to the department. Provide support to all sections of the Payroll team, line managers and employees with Payroll related concerns and queries. SARS, statutory and external providers' queries resolved. Performs other and related duties and general admin and projects as required. What You'll Bring To The Team: Demonstrate good communication and reporting skills.
