Our client, who is one of the most prestigious wineries in the world, is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team in Cape Town - Stellenbosch.Start date : ImmediateSalary : Market RelatedLocation : Stellenbosch, Cape TownMain responsibilities :Process the entire payroll cycle on SAGE300 – uploading all new employee information and salaries, overtime, tips, commission, processing terminations, promotions, pension fund contributions and deductions for staff loans or savingsReview and ensure accuracy of approved overtime, commission and tipsPayroll run and recon of Monthly Payroll Summary (Including all Evolution Payroll accounts, need to be sent to the Financial Manager on a monthly basis before the 10th of each month)Payroll run and recon of Payroll Summary and meeting payroll deadlinesImporting of payroll into the bank for approvalHandle employee queries regarding payroll discrepanciesResponsible for communication and documentation of all UIF applications for employeesAssist HODs with preparation of salary sheets, rate calculation and general BCEA requirements which would influence paymentResponsible for full ESS function, Pension fund via Momentum, all tax directives, including EMP201 and E@syfileReports and journals on Pastel EvolutionSubmitting and payment of COIDA annual returnResponsible for all data integrity - ensure all information captured on payroll is updated timeously, accurate and completeAnnual audit, including recon with Payroll and Pastel / SAGE300Requirements :Relevant tertiary qualification3+ years experience in Payroll, specifically working with SAGE300Experience in working with sensitive employee information confidentiallyGeneral knowledge of Employment Law and relevant business and tax lawsGeneral Financial skillsGeneral understanding of HR policiesExcellent skills using MS ExcelStrong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressureAbility to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlinesExcellent problem solving / judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracyMust be honest and trustworthyGood interpersonal skills and communication skills – ability to liaise at all levels
