Overview: Our client, a well-established, global asset manager, is seeking a Payroll Specialist with global payroll experience. Our client's payroll team, as part of the larger finance department, is responsible for managing and processing employee salaries across various regions, including the UK, South Africa, Canada, the USA, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle EastThey ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time, in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. As the payroll function is outsourced, their primary responsibility is to verify the accuracy of data sent to the provider and to thoroughly review payroll reports before approving payments on behalf of clientsResponsibilities:Responsible for collating and submitting payroll data to the relevant outsourced service providersResponsible for assisting in the preparation of the monthly payroll reconciliations and related administration processes for all global payrollsResponsible for ensuring that HC data is updated on the payroll systems regarding the employee life cycleActing as point of contact for employee payroll queriesAssisting with year-end audit processes (in conjunction with the outsourced payroll provider)Responsible for compiling monthly Headcount and Operations ReportsResponsible for ensuring that all payroll taxes are settled with local authorities at the end of every monthResponsible for the administration and co-ordination of year-end statutory requirements, e.g., tax filings and other processesResponsible for ensuring that administration regarding the termination of employees is done timeouslyRequirements:5+ years of experience in payroll processing and oversight gained from within a globalAdvanced ExcelThe ability to analyse large dataA strong eye for detailExcellent organisational skillsInternational payroll experience would be an advantageAttributes:The ability to build and maintain meaningful relationshipsThe ability to 'approach and own' and continuously look for opportunities to developA strong belief in doing the right thingAbility to analyse, interpret and assimilate information
