Payroll Officer

Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing using SAGE VIP, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Collect, calculate, and input payroll data while maintaining up-to-date records.Compile summaries of earnings, deductions, leave, and other payroll components for reporting.Resolve payroll discrepancies and handle queries.Process payroll transactions, including increases, allowances, and termination benefits, in line with HR policies.Provide internal payroll reports to management and maintain organized payroll records.Handle HR records and assist with time management systems, including new hires and terminations.Support the HR Manager with projects and handle statutory reporting (Employment Equity, Skills Development Plans, etc.).Administer bi-annual and tax year-end payroll submissions (EMP501, IRP5), ensuring timely declarations.Manage employee leave in compliance with BCEA regulations.Liaise with 3rd parties (e.g., pension funds, medical aids) on payroll deduction matters.Distribute payroll journals and reports and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Minimum Requirements Grade 12Post -matric qualification (certificate / Diploma) in HR/ Accounting will be a distinct advantage Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Payroll Officer for a similar size or bigger Organisation.Proficient with payroll software specifically Sage VIP.Experience with Kronos or a similar time management system will be an added advantage
