My client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join their team. The Payroll Officer will be responsible for managing payroll processes efficiently, ensuring accuracy, and delivering timely reports.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll procedures, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This role is based in Bryanston, Johannesburg North.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting:
Run detailed payroll reports including payroll review reports, variance reports, leave reports, company reconciliations report, strength report, and more.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant Exco authority.
Utilize third-party payroll reports for month-end reconciliations.
Ensure managers receive current CTC reports for increase/decrease calculation purposes.
Process increases on payroll and reconcile reports for accuracy.

Efficiencies:
Input and process all documentation received from the business on the payroll system.
Review personnel records and remuneration rates to ensure accuracy.
Approve payroll for associated entities before report distribution.
Process executive committee payroll and company contribution reports for provident portal.
Ensure timely submission of UIF declarations with verified information.
Maintain PAYE reconciliation updated monthly and prepare tax submissions reports.
Distribute IRP5 forms and apply for Tax directive IRP3e when necessary.
Run EMP201 reports for all properties and ensure accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma/Bachelors degree in Payroll/Accounting or related field preferred.
7 years proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role.
Sage 300 experience (non-negotiable).
Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
