Responsibilities include maintaining employee data, reconciling accounts, handling queries, and adhering to legislative changes. Advanced experience with CRS/SAGE Payroll, tax knowledge, and strong attention to detail are essential.Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Maintenance of Employees Master Data System: Ensuring accuracy and completeness of employee information.Monthly Payroll Input Processing: Managing the process of compiling and processing employee payroll data.Posting Payroll Entries to General Ledger: Ensuring accurate accounting by posting payroll transactions to the general ledger.Monthly Reconciliation of Payroll Deductions and Earnings: Balancing payroll deductions and earnings with employee records.Authorization of Payroll Inputs/Changes: Ensuring all payroll changes are properly documented and authorized.Auditing and Testing of Payroll Inputs: Verifying the accuracy of payroll inputs through auditing and testing.Payslip Distribution: Printing and distributing employee payslips.HR Administration: Handling various HR administrative tasks including leave processing, managing staff information, and benefits administration (medical aid, provident fund, etc.).Third-party Payment Processing: Timely and accurate payment processing for third-party obligations.Monthly Payroll Accounting Reconciliations: Reconciling payroll accounts on a monthly basis.Legislative Compliance: Keeping updated with changes in legislation affecting payroll and ensuring compliance.Monthly Payroll Returns: Preparation and submission of monthly payroll returns to relevant authorities (e.g., PAYE, UIF, Garnishees, Skills Development).IRP5 Reconciliation and Distribution: Managing reconciliation and distribution of IRP5 forms.Adhoc Payroll Requests: Handling adhoc payroll requests from other departments.Staff Query Handling: Addressing daily queries from staff regarding payroll.Payroll Administration: Managing payroll administration processes, controls, and data storage/retrieval.Document Filing: Ensuring proper filing of all payroll documents in accordance with retention policies.CRS System Update: Updating the CRS system with new releases.Required Qualifications:Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a similar role.CRS/SAGE Payroll Experience: Advanced experience with CRS/SAGE Payroll software.Tax Knowledge: Understanding of tax processes including submissions, IRP5 generation, and liaison with tax authorities such as SARS.Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Word and Excel.Accounting Skills: Good understanding of accounting principles.Payroll and Administration Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of payroll processes and administration.Attention to Detail: High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.Numerical Skills: Ability to work with figures accurately.Administration and Organization: Strong administration and organization skills.Confidentiality: Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.Communication Skills: Good communication skills to interact with all levels within the organization.Initiative: Ability to take initiative and work proactively.Methodical Work Style: Working in a structured and organized manner.Ability to Work Under Pressure: Capability to work in a high-pressure environment and respond to demanding clients.Customer Service Orientation: Focusing on providing excellent customer service.Achievement Orientation: Striving towards achieving set goals.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and situations effectively.This combination of responsibilities and qualifications ensures efficient and compliant management of payroll processes within the organization.Package & RemunerationR40 000 - R50 000 CTC PM | Sandton, Rosebank | On Site | Perm
